APPEA 2014 Conference and Exhibition, April 2014

The Terrex Group recently participated in the Exhibition for the annual 2014 APPEA Conference and Exhibition held in Perth from 6th - 9th April. The Terrex Team enjoyed catching up with the many APPEA attendees who came to see us at our booth, located at #282.

Terrex crews operate the only cable-less seismic recording system in Australia and during the conference we had the Gen 1 and 2 nodes on display from Fairfield Nodal. The cable-less system continues to generate much interest due to safer, more efficient production, greater portability and minimal environmental impact. A paper exploring these themes was presented on day two of the conference entitled "Maximising safety and environmental performance during onshore seismic acquisition using cable-less technology" by J Shaw (AECOM), M Silverman (Fleet Resources), G Dunn, (Terrex Seismic Geophysicist) and K O'Mara (AECOM).

Terrex also hosted a Twilight Dinner Cruise on the Swan River aboard the Moonlight Express, details of the event can be found in the Events section of the website.

The golf and wine themed business card draw with the first prize of a set of Aston Martin golf clubs was won by Rhys Simpson from Buru Energy. Well done Rhys! Congratulations to our other prize winners: - Second - Jason Berryman from Hess, who won a TaylorMade RBZ2 Driver and a mixed dozen from Aravina Estate; Third - Warren E. Ford from Apache who won a mixed dozen from Aravina Estate; and Fourth - Melissa O'Brien from Total who won 6 bottles of wine from Aravina Estate.
