Health & Safety

The Terrex Group is committed to ensuring a safe working environment is provided for all staff, on and offsite. We take health and safety very seriously, making it our top priority on all projects.

As a part of this commitment Terrex Seismic has implemented an Integrated Management System (IMS). The IMS is certified and audited by SAI Global, against the following standards:

• AS4801 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems

• OHS AS18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems

The IMS integrates Terrex's Health, Safety and Environmental systems and processes into one complete framework, enabling the organisation to work as a single unit with unified objectives.

The organisation's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), Environmental Controls, Job Safety Analysis (JSA's) and the Project Specific Management Plans support the IMS. This system ensures that our activities are conducted in a way designed to prevent injuries, occupational illness and environmental impact.

To effectively maintain the IMS, we have a dedicated and highly experienced team of HSE staff (including crew HSE Supervisors) who assist Crew Managers in assuring compliance on all projects.

Terrex adopts a risk management approach to all pre-survey planning activities. As a minimum a Site Specific Safety Plan (SSSP) and an Emergency Response Plan (ERP) will be developed for every seismic survey. Lessons learned and post-completion survey reviews are incorporated into OH&S documentation for future surveys.

Our IMS and operations have also been audited by a number of our large clients, and has been found to meet all their company-specific HS&E requirements.
